What is the recommended picture resolution?

A picture may look clear and sharp on your smartphone or digital camera screen, but when the same picture is viewed on your computer screen it may appear to be blurry. This is due to the picture's resolution settings. Your smartphone or camera could be set to take photos at low resolution, which is great for uploading to Facebook or emailing to your friends, but may not produce a high quality printed image.

For best printing results, we recommend pictures be set to a resolution of 300 pixels per inch (ppi). If your photo file does not list its resolution, look for an image size of approximately 750 x 1050 pixels. Smaller images may also work when being inserted into smaller photo frames.

What do the yellow warning symbols mean?

We want your photo book or calendar to be of the highest quality possible. If we detect that your uploaded picture may not print clearly due to its size or resolution settings, we will display a yellow warning symbol on the project page image and in the Image Bar beneath your project. If you wish to use the image in your project, you should open the original image file in your favorite picture-editing program and re-size it to better fit the frame or adjust its resolution. Once you save the edited image on your computer, you can add it to your gallery for use in your project.

What does the check (tick) mark mean on pictures in the Image Bar?
